2010 VW Touareg TDI test drive: What happens in El Mirage, stays in El Mirage
September 27, 2010 0 comments
Matt Farah at TheSmokingTire.com recently took a 2010 Touareg TDI® clean diesel to El Mirage Dry Lakebed in the Mojave Desert to put it through its paces. The landscape in the video may look familiar, as El Mirage Lake is a popular filming location for music videos and TV shows. However Matt and his team didn’t have either of those things in mind. He wanted to see what the 2010 Touareg TDI was all about, and El Mirage was one of the few places that could provide them with an almost-never-ending driving track. At one point, Matt coolly takes the Touareg up to 128 mph, all the while describing how the car is performing. It’s the kind of video that is as informative as it is fun, considering most drivers never get an opportunity like this. Video after the jump!
